Summarizing Skills
Skill1:
I don't understand why we need to study academic vocabulary so much if we're never going to use it out of a classroom environment.
I bet it'd be so strange if someone used academic vocabulary out of school like in the video where the guy talking in street language just thought the asian guy was weird.

Skill2:
I feel sometimes that previewing takes too long so I just skip it go right to the reading, but i realized that sometimes when I just go straight to the reading I have trouble understanding everything it one shot.
When you get that mental outline you know what's coming at you later in the reading as well so you're prepared and already thinking about it.

Skill3:
Before my notes used to consist of so many unnecessary things and when I saw how much I had, I had to go back to see what was really important and that just just me wasting time when I could have spent that time studying.
I've always divided my work into chunks because that's what made most sense to me, but sometimes my teacher would divide the reading in strange ways that I didn't understand. So I would create smaller sections in that chunk.

Skill4:
Whenever I examine a document I always detemine whether the document is primary or secondary. I don't really think about it, it just comes to me and I try figuring out what it is.

Skill5:
I've used the "burger" format since I started writing so it's stuck into my brain and whenever I'm told to create an outline that's the first thing I think of.
I think I need to improve on writing my thesis statments. I need to find ways to make them better because they don't really tell the main idea of what I'm going to be talking about in my writing.

Skill6:
I think I'm a pretty good test-taker because I've been learning all these skills from when I was very young so I know many of the techniques and when I have a problem with something I know what studying skills to use to help me.
